Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" is not only 2013's official "Billboard" Song of the Summer, it's also the year's most-tagged song on smartphone app Shazam.
The app, which allows users to identify song titles with its music-recognition technology, has released a list of the most frequently searched-for tracks. The list corresponds with success on the charts, as "Blurred Lines" still leads with the most consecutive weeks at number one on the Hot 100.
17.8 million Shazam users around the world tapped on the app when listening to "Blurred Lines" this year. The runner-up is Avicii's "Wake Me Up," followed by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us."
Other popular songs searched for on the app include current Hot 100 topper "Royals" by Lorde and Pink's "Just Give Me a Reason."
